Great Podcast

If you are thinking about entering the Commercial Drone Business this is the Podcast to follow. David interviews the Owner of Drone Business that are generating more than $1000 per month. Interviews are great because they discuss the ups and downs of starting a business and lessons learned that really help pilots that are thinking of making the "jump" from Hobby to Commercial. Also David promotes the services that Drone Launch provides ( from Part 107 to Drone A to Z with Alex HArris (Top Videographer). Is a podcast that adds value to the drone Industry.

Excellent source for information!

I’ve listened to drone podcasts before. But they typically go into the technical aspect and assume your drone company is already off the ground. What this podcast does is fill the gap that’s left out in the beginning while first starting out. The host asks the questions we’ve all been wondering. How did you start? How much did you charge? What are your future plans? Good stuff guys, keep up the good work.

Excellent resource and a well run company

I learned about Drone Launch Academy from Facebook adds, signed up for the free 1 hour intro to Aerial Video A to Z with Alex Harris. I was sold immediately with his talent, experience, and humor and signed up for the course. I like to thoroughly research and learn everything I can before getting into the business, and you provide an excellent resource and knowledge base with your courses and with this Drone to 1k podcasts. It’s a valuable resource to learn how others have succeeded and what their niche is. Keep up the great work!

Worth bingeing

I am looking to get an aerial mapping business off the ground and these episodes are pretty dense. Lots of useful data here and questions that I now know I need to answer. I recommend this if you’re wondering how to make money flying drones.

Motivational and authentic

I’m really enjoying this podcast. I’m now semi-retired and have had a drone for almost 2 years. I originally intended to get a 107 certificate but the motivation to study and take the test faded. This podcast has jump started my efforts. I really want to add aerial photography and promotional video to my part-time web design business.

Informative & Entertaining

As a beginner to the trade, I have been on the hunt for a good drone podcast lately. I stumbled upon Drone to 1k a few days ago and cannot say enough good things about it. They interview the best people, ask great questions and keep it entertaining. I learn so much every episode and highly recommend this podcast to drone pilots at any level - I will definitely be chipping away to listen to every episode over the next few weeks. Thanks, Dave!

Awesome insights!

I like that it’s talking to real people who get real results, then they help by TELLING YOU HOW THEY DID IT! When I started my own business, Permian Basin Drone Services, it was overwhelming because on top of all the drone stuff, I had to learn how to run a business! Hearing how other people did it is awesome because sometimes local people don’t want to talk to you because they view you as potential competition. The length is awesome as well; clear, concise, and to the point. Here’s to a season 3!

Incredible Industry Information

Being new to drones and the rapidly growing industries that drones are creating, I was doubtful that I would listen to more than a few episodes of this podcast. Now, after having listed to more than a dozen episodes, this is one of my favorite podcasts. The discussions are dynamic and easy to listen to. For someone that is new to the industry-speak, the host and guests are very quick to explain things in ways that are very easy to follow and understand. If you want to know more about the possibilities of drones, this is the podcast you need to start with!

Inspiring and Real!

No gimmicks on this podcast! Just straight up lessons from active drone pilots in the field from all over! I started listening a week or so ago and I’m almost through all of them! I’m in the beginning stages of launching a drone business so I have really enjoyed every second of this podcast! Keep it up!!

Very Informative!

I have been in my head for a few months now about starting a drone business. I used Drone Launch Academy to pass my Part 107 a little over a year ago. Best Drone Podcast Available

I started listening to these a few months ago every here and there and can honestly say this is what inspired me to start my own side hustle. Learning from people that have been through and what I've been through to then follow in there foot steps is a phenomenal way to start an effective business. Why learn from your mistakes when you can learn from others without the consequences? And That's just scratching the surface of these interviews.

Very helpful podcast

There are several podcasts related to drones and business, and I listen to several of them. Drone to 1K is one of the best. I like that there are guests on the show from the full range of business owners, from side hustles to those earning well into six figures. Great information as I get my own drone business going.

VERY Informative and Relatable

I've recently purchased the Part 107 study guide program from Drone Launch Academy as I look to add to my event video production side business. Since then I've been catching up on the Drone to $1k podcasts and love hearing how the guests began and have grown their business using drones and the markets they target. They aren't so far ahead of me that I feel I can relate and connect the dots for how I can do the same. I'll be binge listening to finish both seasons and taking notes as I go. Thanks for producing these!
